Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Distill.ai ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding contract between you and Distill.ai.

Distill.ai provides a platform for AI model fine-tuning: uploading datasets, generating synthetic training data via third-party AI APIs, training LoRA adapters on GPU infrastructure, and serving fine-tuned models via an API.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with 30 days' notice, except in cases of legal obligation or security emergency.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

One account per person or organization. Do not share API keys or allow unauthorized access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You may not use the Service to:

• Train models on illegal, harmful, or hateful content
• Generate synthetic data intended to spread misinformation
• Violate intellectual property rights of third parties
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our platform code or infrastructure
• Abuse the API in ways that degrade service for other users
• Resell or white-label the Service without written permission

Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

You retain full ownership of all datasets, training data, and model adapters you create on the platform. We claim no intellectual property rights over your data or your fine-tuned models.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely to provide the Service (run training jobs, store files, serve inference).

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any data you upload, including compliance with third-party licenses and data protection laws.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Razorpay. All prices are in INR and inclusive of GST where applicable.

GPU training costs are metered separately and billed at the end of each billing cycle based on actual compute time used.

Refunds: We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription if you are unsatisfied. After that, refunds are issued at our discretion for service outages exceeding 24 hours.

Failure to pay will result in plan downgrade to Starter after a 7-day grace period. We will send reminders before downgrading.

We target 99.5% uptime for the API and dashboard. Planned maintenance will be announced 24 hours in advance. Enterprise plan customers receive a 99.9% SLA with credit for downtime exceeding the threshold.

GPU training availability depends on AWS spot instance availability. We do not guarantee job start times but will notify you if a job is queued for more than 2 hours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Distill.ai is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Distill.ai harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days. Download your datasets and model adapters before deleting your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in India under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before resorting to litigation.
